As Mayor of Ennis, I take great pleasure in welcoming you to the Ennis Town Council web site. I hope this site will be informative to the people of Ennis and will give information to visitors in relation to the activities of Ennis Town Council and information on the town.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my fellow Councillors and the staff of Ennis Town Council for their co-operation and assistance. Also, I am looking forward to continuing to work in partnership with the many voluntary and community groups that work in the town. I hope this website will be of assistance to these groups and to the many users of services provided by Ennis Town Council.
I also hope this web site will be a point of contact for our many visitors to Ennis. I will continue to work with my colleagues on the Council to provide a service as an infrastructure which is required to meet the needs of our rapidly growing progressive town.

Ennis Town Council is a democratically elected body with responsibility for the management of Local Authority functions within the town of Ennis. Our activities touch the lives of every citizen of the town in many ways.
Our works include the provision of key elements of infrastructure, the development of amenities, the protection of our environment and development of our cultural and sporting heritage. Of particular importance is the fact that Ennis is a designated Hub Town and as such, is attracting major investment in infrastructure, housing, leisure and cultural facilities. This investment and the location of Ennis adjacent to two major cities make Ennis the ideal location for development and for visitor activities.
