Casual Trading

Businesses and individuals are allowed to sell goods in designated areas in Ennis, provided they have a Casual Trading licence issued by Ennis Town Council. Persons caught trading without a licence can be prosecuted by an authorised officer of Ennis Town Council as well as by the Gardai.

Ennis Town Council Casual Trading Bye-Laws 2011

Ennis Town Council has adopted Casual Trading Bye-Laws 2011 which will come into effect on 1st October, 2011. In accordance with Section 6(10) of the Casual Trading Act 1995 a copy of the bye-laws may be purchased or inspected at the offices of Ennis Town Council, Waterpark House, Drumbiggle, Ennis, Co. Clare between the hours of 9;00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, or can be downloaded below:
