  4. Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (Part VIII) – Proposed provision of traffic calming measures at Collins Park, Ennis.
  5. Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (Part VIII) – Proposed provision of traffic calming measures at Connolly Villas, Ennis.

  9. 63rd All Ireland Pipe Band Championship 2008 in Ennis. 
  10. Notice of Motion submitted by Cllrs. D. O’Bearra and J.Flynn:
    • “That Ennis Town Council refrains from progressing to build a new library in the Post Office field in the interests of retaining green open space in the Town centre and in the absence of a cost benefit analysis that concludes there are no alternative locations”.
  11. Notice of Motion submitted by Cllr. J. Flynn:
    • “That Ennis Town Council, as a provider of public services, seek to achieve the ISO 9000/9002 Quality Assurance Award”.
  12. Notice of Motion submitted by Cllr. D. O’Bearra:
    • “Can the Manager report on progress to date concerning the three year programme of bicycle stands, agreed in the Estimates, setting the proposed means of identifying suitable locations, when the programme will be published, confirmation that it will be included in the Quarterly Progress Reports to the members and any other information that he thinks would be helpful”.
  13. Correspondence.
    • Letter of thanks received from the London Irish Centre in relation to the Council’s donation of €2,000 to that organisation.
    • Letter received from Passage West Town Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council regarding the new Road Safety Strategy.
    • Letter received from the office of Tony Killeen, T.D., Minister of State for Environment and Energy in relation to the Council’s correspondence regarding funding for water tankers for the fire service.
    • Letter of thanks received from St. Michael’s Irish Centre in relation to the Council’s donation of €1,500 to that organisation.
    • Letter received from the Office of the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government in response to the Council’s correspondence regarding funding for water tankers for the fire service. 
    • Letter received from the Association of Municipal Authorities of Ireland in relation to the hosting of the 2009 Annual Conference.
  14. Conferences and Seminars.
    • “The Mutual Benefits of North-South Co-operation” – 19th Colmcille Winter School being organised by Colmcille Heritage Trust with the co-operation of Co. Donegal Vocational Education Committee and taking place at the Colmcille Heritage Centre, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal on 29th February 2008 to 2nd March 2008.
    • “Suicide Prevention: A Call to Action” – Seminar for Councillors being organised by Kadenza Consultancies and taking place at the City West Hotel, Dublin on 22nd and 23rd February 2008.
    • “Ireland’s Newest Immigrants, ensuring their participation in the 2009 European and Local Elections” – Seminar being organised by the Third Sector Forum and taking place at The Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal on 21st, 22nd and 23rd February 2008.
    • Annual Conference of the Association of County and City Councils taking place at the Roganstown Country Club, Swords, Co. Dublin on 6th, 7th and 8th March 2008.
