  1. Adoption of the Minutes of the March Monthly Meeting of Ennis Town Council held on Monday, 3rd March 2008 at 3:30 p.m. 
  2. Adoption of the Minutes of the Adjourned March Monthly Meeting of Ennis Town Council held on Thursday, 6th March 2008 at 4.30 p.m.
    • Planning and Development Regulations 2001 – 2006 (Part VIII) – Proposed Development at Corravarrin Railway Bridge, Tulla Road, Corravarrin, Ennis.
    • Declararation of a public road pursuant to Section 11 of the Roads Act  1993 – Inner Relief Road serving Cathedral Court.
    • To approve the naming of development at Knockanean, Tulla Road, Ennis – Planning reference 06/19
    • Fix date for the May Monthly Meeting of the Council.
  3. Fix date for the Annual Meeting of the Council.
    • Adoption of a Resolution pursuant to Section 18(4)(b) of the Local Government Act 2001.
    • To note Schedule of Uncollected Rates 2007.
    • Presentation on the Sustainable Residential Development in Urban Areas Draft Guidelines.
  4. To note Roadworks Programme 2008. 
  5. County Clare Recreation and Sports Strategy 2009 – 2011.
    • Presentation by Representatives from the Fleadh Nua Committee in relation to plans for 2008.
  6. Notice of Motion submitted by Cllr. Johnny Flynn.
    • "Ask the Town Manager and the Town Engineer that Ennis Town and Clare County Council's redevelop the Doora Landfill site as a Sports and Recreational Facility, with portion of the site jointly developed with Clubs wishing to overcome the lack of their own facilities by investing time and money in the development of such facilities and that phase 1, as a pilot scheme could provide for pitch and putt, playground and club funded pitches for Avenue United, Banner Ladies football, Ennis Town Football Academy among others."

    • Letter received from Nenagh Town Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council at a recent meeting regarding the setting up of a national waiver system for refuse collection.
    • Letter received from Clonmel Borough Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council at a recent meeting regarding their opposition to any move by Bookmaker Chains to have gaming machines placed in their offices.
    • Letter received from Macroom Town Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council at a recent meeting regarding the increase in agency employment throughout the economy.
    • Letter received from Clones Town Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council at a recent meeting regarding the appointment of an Ombudsman in the Department of Health.
    • Letter received from Clones Town Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council at a recent meeting regarding the increase in agency employment throughout the economy.
    • Letter received from Tralee Town Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council at a recent meeting regarding the reinstatement of co-habitee tax relief on properties in which they reside.
    • Letter received from the Clare People Schoolboys/Girls Soccer League requesting that a Civic Welcome be granted to the Schoolboy Football Association of Ireland who are holding their Annual Conference in Ennis on 31st May 2008.
    • Letter of thanks received from the Fairtrade Ennis Steering Committee in respect of the Council's contribution towards the celebration for the official launch of Ennis becoming a Fairtrade town.
    • Letter received from Bus Eireann in relation to a proposed bus service for Ennis Town.
    • Letter of thanks received from the RNLI Ireland in relation to the Council's financial contribution to that organisation.
    • Letter received from Ennis Chamber advising of their decision to sponsor the provision of a bicycle stand at O'Connell Street.
    • Letter received from Mullingar Town Council in relation to a Notice of Motion adopted by that Council at a recent meeting regarding local bogs in Mullingar.
    • Invitation received from Bella Hehir in relation to the 60th Anniversary of Shannon Air Crash to take place at Drumcliffe Cemetery on 15th April 2008.
    • Letter of thanks from Seán Ó Ceallaigh, Cathaoirleach na Féile, in relation to the Civic Reception hosted by Ennis Town Council to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Feile na hInse.
    • Letter received from John O' Farrell acknowledging receipt of the Town Council's submission to the Electoral Area Boundary Committee.
    • Letter received from  Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government acknowledging receipt of letter from Ennis Town Council in relation to Electoral (Amendment) Act 2002.

    • "Water: The Challenges for Users" – 24th Annual Environmental Conference being organised by Sherkin Island Marine Station and taking place at the Carrigaline Court Hotel, Carrigaline, Co. Cork on 17th and 18th April 2008.
    • "1916 Revolution or Betrayal" – Conference being organised by Enniscorthy Town Council and taking place at the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford on 19th April 2008.
    • "Developments in the Planning System, North and South" Conference being organised by the Confederation of European Councillors and taking place at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh on 24th April 2008.  
    • "A Shared Future – Shaping the Fabric of our Communities"  Housing Conference being organised by Cork City Council and taking place at the Silversprings Moran Hotel, Tivoli, Cork on 24th and 25th April 2008.
    • Effective Communication for Councillors – being held on Friday 4th April to Sunday 6th April 2008 at Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny, Do. Donegal.
    • Local Government and the Environment – being held on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May 2008 at Ballyvaughan Coast Hotel, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare.
