Minutes of the March Monthly Meeting of Ennis Town Council held at 3.30 p.m. on Monday, 5th March 2007
Presiding: - Deputy Mayor T. Brennan.
Councillors present:

- T. Matthew,

- D. O’Bearra.
Officials present:
- T. Coughlan, Director of Service.
- L. O’Connor, Acting Town Clerk.
- T. Tiernan, Town Engineer.
- D. O’Keeffe, Acting Senior Staff Officer.
Apologies: - Mayor J. Reidy
The Register of Orders by the Director of Service, Town Clerk and Town Engineer and the Planning Register were on the meeting table.
Cllr. T. Brennan chaired the meeting, where he proposed a vote of sympathy to the Town Clerk, Eddie Power on the death of his father, Christy Power and that the meeting should be adjourned as a mark of respect to Mr. Power.
This was seconded by Cllr. P Considine who supported a full adjournment of the meeting as a mark of respect.
Cllrs. F. Neylon, M. Coote Ryan, D. O’Bearra, J. Flynn and T. Glynn all expressed their sincere sympathy to the Town Clerk and his family, Cllr. T. Matthew expressed his deepest sympathy to the family on his own behalf and the African community in Ennis.
T. Coughlan, wished to extend his sympathy on a personal basis and also on behalf of the Management and Staff.
T. Tiernan, extended his sympathy to Eddie and his family as Eddie was not just a colleague but a friend.
L. O’Connor, A/Town Clerk echoed all sentiments expressed by those present.
A minutes silence ensued.
It was agreed that the adjourned meeting would be held on Monday 26th March, 2007 at 3.30 p.m.
