Temporary Closing of Roads -Kilrush Road at Caherea

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 of Clare County Council's intention to close the road detailed hereunder for the period stated in order to carry out re surfacing and associated works on the N68 Kilrush Road at Caherea.
Roads to be closed
- N68 Ennis to Kilrush Road, Ennis , Co Clare from a point 100metres west of the junction with the L-4230-0 'Crows Cross' to a point 450 metres west of the junction with the L-8262-0 'Bansha Cross'
- L-21562-0 at the junction with the N68
- L-4230-0 at the junction with the N68
- L-63222-0 at the junction with the N68
- L-2156-0 at the junction with the N68
- L-6336-0/63361-0/63362-0 at the junction with the N68
Dates of closure
- These roads will be closed from 9.00 am on Monday the 13th September 2010 to 12.00 midnight on the 3rd October 2010
Alternative Routes
- Heavy Goods Vehicles travelling between Kilrush and Ennis should use the N68 Kilrush Road to O'Shaugnessy's Cross R483, R473 (Kildysart Road), R458 and N85 to the N68 Roundabout near O'Sullivan Hansbury Garage.
- Cars travelling from Ennis to Kilrush should use the N68 Kilrush Rd and the N85 from the Roundabout near O'Sullivan Hansbury to the R 458, R473 (Kildysart Rd) L-2072 at Ballynacally, L- 2158 to the N68 Kilrush Rd opposite Fanny O'Deas Pub.
- Cars travelling from Kilrush to Ennis should use the N68 Kilrush Rd to L-2148 at 'Daybreak Corner' in Lissycasey and L- 2152, R473 Kildysart Rd to R458, N85 to N68 Kilrush Rd at Roundabout near O'Sullivan Hansbury Garage.
- Local Access will be maintained at all times.
- Diversions will be in place and clearly signposted.

Observations / representations may be made in writing to the Senior Staff Officer, Planning, Land Use, Transportation, Clare County Council, New Road, Ennis before Friday, 30th July at 4:00 p.m. Drawing showing alternative routes will be on display in the Clare Council Offices in New Rd Ennis and Kilrush Area Office from the 19th July 2010.
