Water Safety and Lifeguards

There are currently eight qualified lifeguards employed at the pool at it's busiest times.

Ennis Leisure Complex, has for many years had a great association with water safety and with the Lifeguard Service in particular. Many of the lifeguards who have guarded the beaches of Clare over the years availed of their early training in the pool.

Great credit is due to the many volunteers who devote their time to teaching Swimming and Water Safety to huge numbers of children who use the facility. With the new Complex now in place, it is hoped that many more young people will continue to learn swimming and life saving techniques, ensuring that County Clare will be able to call on Lifeguards of the highest quality to protect the beaches and amenity areas throughout the County for many years to come.

White Flag Accreditation

This award is based on the European Blue Flag for Beaches and is operated by ILAM (Institute of Leisure & Amenity Management Ireland) and An Taisce and is sponsored by Evian. Ennis Leisure Complex received this award in 2001 and has retained the accreditation ever since.

Birthday Parties

We are now catering for birthday parties consisting of:

  • One and a half hour water time with fun inflatables
  • Half hour party time with hot food

We cater for between 10 and 20 children. Price is €10 per child.  Also included in the price is birthday invitations, present for the birthday child and free swim voucher for the birthday child.  You  can bring a birthday cake if you wish.
