Clare County Library consists of 16 branch libraries, a local studies centre, and an administrative headquarters, organised into five functional regions and three library service departments. The Library Service also has responsibility for the County Arts Office, the Clare Museum and the County Archives (excluding Records Management).
Membership of Clare County Library is open to all persons normally residing or working in the county. Clare County Library has over 17,000 members who borrow almost half a million items annually. A variety of material is available including books, newspapers, audio-material, magazines, music and film. Each year users avail of over 110,000 free Internet access sessions which are available in all branch libraries.
